Shrockworks

So Back on 13 Sept 2009 I ordered a bumper and winch from Shrockworks. It's now almost March 2010 and I still have no bumper or winch. I've contacted them a few times, once in Dec, Jan, and beginning of Feb, and each time I speak to them it's the same thing, " Oh, it will ship by the end of the month." Mind you they have told me the exact same thing each time I talk to them. Has anyone else had an experience like this with them? It's frankly starting to piss me off.

Just interested in knowing if I'm the only one that Shrock has jerked off like this. I mean ****, by now I could have purchased a bender and some steel and made my own, and if I wasn't tied into these asshats for so much cash I would.

that blows, i've never heard anyone have it take so long. you should contact the better business bureau local to them and file a complaint
Oh... Good Ol' Shrockworks... I think I remember people wait up to 6 months + on here... Good luck... Seems like you're close though.

^+1
I pretty much forgot I ordered sliders by the time mine showed up.. Thinkin' bout' bumpers.. too. Hopefully "the plan" would be same by the time I recieve em'.
september '09, till... today- yea, sounds about right. they always take forever.
Took 6 months for my Shrock skids, your on track...
start to worry if they don't come by end of march, 6 months is normal its a shame they don't just tell you that upfront. But it will be worth the wait
shrocks biggest isssue is they dont cut or coat their own stuff so they have to wait for suppliers. 6-8 months is normal for them
Thats way too long. I dont mind waiting a few weeks, but 6 months is rediculous. Think how many more they would sell if they stocked them and all you had to wait for was shipping. I would order one and probably forget about it and sell my truck and get a bumper a few months later...

I could probably invest in 10 bumpers and re-sell them after a 15% markup. How many people would be willing to pay a $100 or so more to have their bumpers in a week vs 6 months.
ARB ARB!!

Cheaper too!
I would think if this isnt told to you right up front then its time to contact Better Business Bureau doesnt matter what you make or how good it is

the only problem with that plan is that these bumpers are configured to order. So what if the 10 you had in stock did not have the options people wanted on them. Would i pay $100 for faster service, yes; would I pay $100 to get the wrong bumper faster, no.
Configured to order is one thing, but it's like they have to smelt the steel for each order....I bet there is someone on this forum that has ordered a bumper since I ordered mine and they probably already have it. If they are going to make people wait like this, firstly it needs to be stated on their webpage, not in the fine print but big and right on the top. Maybe right under their name (ie. SHROCKWORKS, bumpers and skids made to order....We'll get to it when we feel like it). And secondly it should be some sort of payment on delivery. I've done my part, they have my money, I WANT THE FU*KING BUMPER.

I mean ****, I've already dissasembled and reassembled an entire Truck with no sign of this bumper/winch that I bought from them.
i love my bumper and i waited one month
i ordered mine back in oct....still haven't gotten it.....
quit your b*tching guys, jim is a very stand up guy and his products are top notch

rome wasnt built in a day.... either are shrock bumpers

its better then your other options...
-ARB... good fit but flimsy 1/8 inch bumper shell with no recovery points (it will bend VERY easily)
-KMA... horrible fit and if it doesnt fit kyle tells you that your truck MUST of been in an accident... plus hes a royal jackass
-Iron Bull... its a f*cking boat anchor for christs sake and costs literally a 1/10 of your truck to get...
I agree with fusion. It took a while for them to get my sliders out to me but im glad i went with them.

In the same place my sig pic is taken theres a rock just infront of the front tires that i hit when i came off. Hit hard enough on the silder when it came down my sisters head hit the window in the passanger seat. Slid partially down the slider till the rear wheel cought and drove away. only damage was some scuffs in the paint.
Damn !

i feel for you but now i am worried - i ordered a rear dif. cover last week and was hoping to have it by the time my Gibson exhaust gets to me so i can have my guy install that while he has it on the lift for the exhaust.

alot of people brought up a valid point that quality does take time and CAN be worth it in the long run but i believe if this is their common wait time/practice they SHOULD inform the purchaser when they place their order

best of luck & hope you get your stuff soon & that its was worth the wait !
