this model (frontier) is the best looking trucks I've seen. i really like a truck based solely on design, maybe you can help me decide on this by telling me what else does this model offer, for owners

Which model frontier? There is 3 levels of trim and two transmissions, with two cab lay outs. Did you have one in mind?

For example, mine is a SE, Crew Cab, 4X4, Auto trans, standard bed.

EDIT: Mine is a model year 2005. For the new models the names have changed, with very few actual changes made to the truck its self.

You beat me...

Anyway, pick the model, choose transmission that both meet your needs and wants. Either way..it's a fronty, you can't go wrong.

The benefits of the 2nd gens are the power and size. The downside of the 2nd gens are their interiors. They are a bit "plasticy" but I am not sure how much that will affect you.

Then lets not forget the price. My neighbor just bought an '10 XE w/ 5speed manual and got it for 3kish less then a similar Tacoma. Then he just skipped right over the Ranger and Colorado due to size.
