Ok, so I picked up 4 7100 series Bilsteins (used) that are all valved at 170/60...

2 happen to need a rebuild, and I want to know what valving to get.

I do desert running and daily driving, but the truck is becoming more of a weekend toy and less daily driver since I now have a work truck. This means I can go with something a little less street friendly (though I will have to drive to most places to off road it).

Any suggestions?

My options from Bilstein are:

150/50
170/60
180/75
275/78
360/80

Bilsteins website suggests 1x180/75 per wheel for "Sport" and 2x180/75 for "Prerun"

Also, I have 4 shocks, so I could potentially mount all 4 and keep the valving as is and just get new seals all around...

Any help is much appreciated.

i would go with 275/78 a little bit stiffer than the 255/70 they offer is the 5125 series but for offroad use that will help out especially if your bombing down the road

Well, I currently have the 5125's and they seem pretty stiff, but they aren't great. I was hoping for something that can take the jumps pretty well. I think my suspension as-is may be limiting me. I have some plans for that.

How do you have your Bilsteins mounted? Do they just drop right into the stock mounts?

Also, since I won't be able to get them finished before the meet this weekend, what will happen if I run the 170/60's for a week or so? Do I just have to take it slow?
