Found a pic of a street truck without the wheel flares and a bumper that's been shaved to match the lines.

Is someone selling bumper covers like this or is some body shop modifying them? I like the look.

The shaved bumper is down here guys.

minitruckin magazines project desert dragger. its a real truck. the bumper is shaved, not a cover, and not commercially available.

a good body shop can shave your bumper for you. it involves some plastic welding, so its not a common job.

the rest of the truck:

Yeah, I found the source of the pic and another from Mini Truckin'.

I wonder how well plastic welding will hold up under hard use.

just like regular welding. you use heat to put 2 pieces together using a filler. the guy i talked to about it used scrap from a similar bumper as the filler. it should act as one solid piece.

this is why i mentioned plastic welding. if you take it to an insurance specialty body shop, they are gonna smear on 5 pounds of bondo and call it a day.
