I have an '05 nismo with not even 1300mi and the service engine soon light is on, and the motor is idleing just a tid bit rough. I'm in l.a. and it rained rather hard over night, doubt that is the problem but... I have an appointment to take it in to the dealer friday to find the problem. Just curious if anyone here has encountered a similar problem with their frontier?????

Have you checked to ensure your gas cap is closed properly and tight? I know this may sound dumb, but a common reason for the SES is a loose or incorrectly installed gas cap! Of course if the gas cap wasn't put on tight or correctly, and you had a heavy rain, there could have been some water that got in the gas causeing the rough idle. Just some thoughts...

The gas cap seems to be installed properly and tight. It dosent sound stupid at all, that is why I posted my problem here so I may be reminded of the simplest things that I might have overlooked. Thank You for the suggestion, I'l see if it worked tomarrow on my commute to work.

Confirm that the MAF sensor is properly connected. Just my .02

Wow, didn't realize it had been soo long since I posted my question. I was just the gas cap. I tighned it the light went out and i cancelled my appt with the dealer. thank you for all your input
