Has anyone here ever thought of making a "secret compartment" in our trucks?
Or does anyone know of a good place to hide things?

I usually keep my wallet and some emergency cash in my truck and my camera and ipod stays in there at all times.
So I've been trying to think of good places to hide it in case my truck ever gets broken into they dont find it.

A few ideas that I came up with was a false floor for the center console or maybe a small hidden drawer under the front seats.

Anyone know of any good places?

**This is in no way related to drugs or intended for a "stash place" and I would like for any drug talk to stay out of this thread.
If that is what you use/ want to use your compartments for feel free, but don't talk about that in this thread**

maybe the upper glove compartment counts since I didn't discover mine until close to a year after ownership. my friend who also has a nissan one day pops it open. i'm like wtf you do?? why you break my car?
I'm thanking you for the laugh I got from that.

Funny stuff! It IS strange that we have 2 gloveboxes.

I thought about hiding some cash up behind one of the two interior caps that cover where you access the bolts to remove the 3rd/high brake light from the inside.

The gun vault seems nice, but I'm looking for something alittle more DIY. And as far as the upper glove box and cup holder panel area, I have a 1st gen so none of those work.

My best bet at the moment seems like a false floored console.

If you have a manual tranny you can put stuff under the fabric around the shifter.

To get help.
The same reason anyone else would ask a question on the forum.
I understand what you mean though.

If you don't feel comfortable sharing your space, dont post it.

LOL. I don't have any. It's just that if anybody posts where theirs is located, it won't really be a secret anymore plus a potential car burglar could find this thread interesting. :)

I use the cup holder one all the time. grab both sides of cup holder plastic piece and pull straight up with about 20 lbs of force. it pops right off. be sure to pull the e-brake once its off so u can see how it works as to not accidently damage your stuff. I installed a ipod jack and my itouch has survived 2 break-ins in this spot.

LOL I hear you. I've seen a thread similiar to this on another car forum with a MUCH more common car I won't mention since my wife drives it. Considering that there are 300 million americans and only about 400-500 are on clubfrontier at any one given time I think for the most part we are OK. I don't think there are too many burglars targeting only nissan frontiers owned by clubfrontier members, but hey you never know I guess. I really don't keep much in anything in our vehicles of real value I'd cry about more than having my window smashed.

Same thing - month after having the pathfinder -the kid pops it and I nearly wreck the thing, thinking he's demolished the dash!

HAHA! Funniest thing. I've owned my Frontier since Aug of 09. Removing some parts of the dash yesterday to install my FM Modulator and accidently pop this thing open. First time its been opened since I purchased it! I had no clue it was there too! LOL

middle cup holder panel pops out and has nice strong clips for repeat removal. there's a large area underneath
Thats EXACTLY where I hide everything too :D

lots of general places, just have to remember where you end up putting it. also I would not imagine anyone that broke into a vehicle would spend more than a molement looking for stuff...
9/10 it's a drug addict looking for change or your GPS then out as fast as possible. Best thing is to LOCK YOUR DOORS. Some punks came around our parking lot at work and only took from UNLOCKED cars!
