I got my swatches from CoverKing the other day and after comparing the CoverKing Neoprene to the Wet Okole neoprene, there's not much comparison! First off, the Wet Okole Red matches the Aztec Red of my truck better than the Red from CoverKing. Another disturbing fact is CoverKing sent me two red samples in different envelopes, and one was a shade off from the other, so when ordering there may be no guarranty the color you got in the swatch will be the exact color of your seats! 2nd, the Wet Okole fabric felt far more durable. It's actual wet suit material. The CoverKink fabric has a light weaight white foam backing, and the actual rubber/cloth fabric that makes up the neoprene is much thinner than the Wet Okole. The Wet Okole also seems much more stretchy, which will probably equate to a muct tighter fit. The Wet Okole seatcovers cost more than the CoverKing (but only $25.00), and I think what you get for the extra far outweighs the additional cost. Here are some pics of the two side by side for comparison:

I've decided I'm going to go with the Wet Okole seat covers. I haven't heard anything but good about them. Thanks for your input!

Okay, here's the deal. I got my Wet Okole samples today now I have to make a decision as to which to use, the Wet Okole or the CoverKing. The Wet Okole wins
hands down in the look of durability. On the other hand the CoverKing wins hands
down in the visual appearance.

I feel sure that the Wet Okole will out wear the CoverKing, but the CoverKing has a much more elegant look to it and the colors match my Desert tan cloth interior better.

Has anyone had CoverKing covers for a long period of time? My truck stays in a heated
garage all winter and in a naturally heated garage in the summer. I use a window shade in the windshield area when I am parked outside.

I just have a concern if the CoverKing cover will hold up. My wife said I'll be driving this truck until I die so I am taking very tender care of it and I do not put but about 5000 or
6000 miles per year on it.

Can anyone help me with my concerns about the CoverKing?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

I have not really priced the Wet Okole seat covers yet because I am actually leaning toward the CoverKing because of the better color match and I like the looks of the CoverKing material better. So far the best deal I have found on the CoverKings is
$200.95 with free shipping.

Once I decide for sure I'll see if they will do a group buy at a better price. Has anyone
found a better price than this on the CoverKings? If so how much and where?

Thank you,

After recently getting a stain on my drivers seat (thank god I was able to clean it ). But I would be interested in seeing pictures if anyone has some and their reviews. I am going to be buying some seat covers soon. The seat covers from Autozone or Canadian Tire just don't cut it.

Thanks

here is a pic comparing the WO material to the Cover King material

i finally got some pics of the WO samples and the CK samples together.

my flash seems to wash the grey (#21 for WO ) out, almost making it seem white.

IMO the charcoal (WO #11) looks better/closer to stock anyway)

ok, here we go:
all pics were taken with about 10 mins, tryin to keep the same light for all pics.

cover king samples.
black ..... .... charcoal ... .. ... grey

Wet Okole samples
black (actually the back side of a charcoal) , charcoal . ... .. grey

WO on top
CK on bottom.
on the butt portion of the seat

WO samples against the back portion of the seat. (probaly the best pic of the 'grey' from WO

here is both samples against the back/bottom of the seat.
coverking on the left
wet okole on the right

hopefully this will help others in there quest to find a good set of seat covers.

i think i will be goin with the wet okole one personally.
to me the neopreme seems sticker/stronger. there is not foam backing to crumble.
the customer service from wet okole killed the CK service.
wet okole also makes a arm rest cover.

of there are any other pics someone would like to see please post it up and i will do my best to get them.

Kelly,

A very nice presentation, good pictures. I am still trying to make a decision on which
seat cover to use, but I am leaning toward the CoverKing because the velour has a nicer look to it than the Wet Okole. Also the colors of the CoverKing match my desert
tan cloth interior better than the Wet Okole.

The Wet Okole samples I received do have a very thin layer of foam rubber sand-
wiched between two layers of material. It is a much thinner layer and also appears
to be denser.

I think the Wet Okole does look to be a little more durable than the CoverKing, but I
just don't care for the utilitarian look of the Wet Okole.

I had velour seats in my 1977 Datsun KC 5 speed for over 20 years and they still
were in good shape and nice looking. Velour is tough stuff so I have no fear of
using it.

I'll make my final decision when I get the money saved up to buy the covers. Thank you again for a very nice presentation.

I went with the Coverking Leatherettes. The color match is good and the install was moderately easy. The only thing I dislike about them is that they didnt provide a cover for the center armrest and that you can see the seam around the edges in spots. The seam is a different color and you loose a little of the custom look. The seem like they will last forever and several people have mistaken them for leather. A little on the pricey side but overall not too bad. I paid about 475 for front and rear (crew cab) but figure 300 would have been a more reasonable value for these things. Just a note: I did contact coverking and asked them to send me a piece so I can make a cover for the center console. Looks ok and feels a heck of a lot better than that hard vinyl that Nissan throws on there!

i finally got around to ordered a set of wet okloe neopreme seat covers.

since i have the grey interior, i want with the charcoal and back setup.
i also had them make me a armrest cover and add the map pockets on the backs of the covers.

after shipping it was $300 even.
they said it should take 3-4 weeks to get to me :(

hopefully once i get them and put them on, the $300 wont hurt as much :p

i figure it is a small investment to keep the seats looking good for years to come.

once i get the covers, ill put them on and take a few pictures and add them to the thread.

I've had Wet O seat covers on my other car for about 3 years, 50K miles now. Although they have faded from the sun, partially due to me not taking great care of them, they show absolutely no signs of wear.

I'll be getting Wet O covers for my frontier as soon as I make an oops

I have had Wet Okoles on three trucks so far....Each one preserved my seats like new, after lots of miles (and spills, wet shorts,etc.).I would say they are worth the money if you want to preserve your interior. They clean up easy, and are comfy, too. 8)

I have not gotten them yet for the new Fronty, and I'll tell you why:

1) The pics on their website shows poor fit on the headrests.
2) No back seat/headrest covers avail. for Kingcab.(I want it all to match)
3) My truck has side airbags and headrest airbags(flaps on covers?)
4) Not sure how you use the fold-flat front seat with them.
5) No matching blue(out of 4 choices)

...I hope maybe some of these questions will be answered here :D
I may send my rear seatbacks and headrests to wet okole for the pattern.
For now I'll save my money for gas...LOL 8O

I don't think you have an air bag in your headrest. The side curtain airbag deploys from the edge of the ceiling in the truck. You have an active headrest, which means there's a mechinism in it that moves it forward and locks it in the event of a frontal collision.

I also have the side airbags that deply from the seat, and would like to see a close up picture of how they engineered that into their design. I think I read somewhere that it's just a velcro flap over the area where the airbag deplys from. Not sure if that would interfere with the proper operation of the airbag, and of course you won't know till they deploy, and by them it's too late!

I also have the KC, but I hadn't even thought about doing the back jump seats! Quite honestly, I prefer to see someone come out with a replacement cover for the back wall of the cab and just remove the jump seats and the rear head rests!

Oh ...O.K.! I thought they had airbags in them. That solves that problem :D thanks

I will have to make a backwall cover...it would be easy.Maybe I could make one that would hook into the headrest holes, and use the bolts from the seatbacks.(then you can always return to stock if desired :!: ) what an idea
I have not decided what to do with my unused cab space. Those jumpseats are useless,(unless you put a child seat back there). I want a subwoofer, and need to carry things in the cab alot .I am trying to design a USEFUL,PRACTICAL setup, that can be returned to stock if necessary(to sell,or whatever).
I was thinking putting the wet okoles on the front seats.Have them cover the rear headrests, and seatbacks only(not the flip down part,I removed them already)Then see if they will hook me up with a couple yards of the matching wetsuit material,so I can build a downfiring subwoofer "bench" that would look like someone could sit there. 8) ((we all know nobody will be sitting there, lol)) You would be able to access the jack, and if you don't want a subwoofer, you could have under-seat-storage instead(like a boat??)

or

Go the filler panel.hole cover route, and make it look like there was never any seats back there .....Then build a storage/speaker box back there.

HMMM
Thanks again, "o5nismo4x4" for the help and getting my wheels turning.

05_NISMO_4x4,

Great idea, I would be in on buying a cover that would delete the rear jump seats.
Of course then it would be another couple of boxes to store in the attic. I'll just have
to sneak it by my wife.
