Nissan told me they don't make factory seat covers for the 2010 SE King Cab. Said it had something to do with they would interfere with air bag deployment...Does anyone know if this is true? Thanks.

I don't know about Nissan but i just purchased seat covers for my 2010 from walmart that were built to allow airbags to deploy through them. Evidentally the stitching was made to tear away. The darn things even have an airbag tag sewn onto them just like my seat.

The big question is are you willing to wager these covers don't interfere with the bags? I did want covers but am not going to buy any due to this possibility. The bags were made to tear the factory seat not two layers of fabric.

I just received the SMITTYBILT G.E.A.R. seat covers and currently have the Velcro undone on the outsides (you can just slide the very end through the buckle and it will hold, but come free with a slight tug.) I was wondering how low the airbags deploy at because I was planning to stitch bungee cords and/or elastic straps onto the covers that completely circumvent the airbag deployment area and keep my homely face safe if i get hit.

i have the caltrend neosupreme seat covers. they fit really nice and have a flap where the airbag would deploy. i got the covers for my birthday and they were made for seats without airbags. i called caltrend and sent them back. they modified them and had them back to me in about two weeks for free. (i payed shipping to get them there). i am really happy with them.

Nice to know they care about your safety. There are still some good companies out there.
