So I got a Scangauge as a present and I am super pumped, it is frickin sweet. I open it up and plug it in and the first thing I do is scan for codes and guess what comes up... the stupid knock sensor code. Damn :comphead:

It's not a bad thing but when you get the KS fixed it will be fun-er to drive.

Its not horrible but just not the same without the supercharger. I thought something didn't seem right, just not the same. The Scangauge also shows me the timing position and it stays in the 10, 11, 12 range and if I am not mistaken that is the failsafe mode retarding it?

Unless the timing is different for the SC than on the regular v6 the range is 10 + or - 2 degrees. So I think you are good with that timing.
With a bad KS the timing should not advance. However, I have never driven the truck with scangauge hooked up so I am not sure.
On that scanguage can clear the Throttle Position Sensor Menory? When it gets warmer I want to adjust TPS as I moved it way back when and the memory needs to be cleared when you reposition it.

I know it tells me about the TPS but I am not sure if it can be changed via the scangauge, wouldn't hurt to look into however

knock sensor
dont ignore that knock sensor as i did for too long.
it will start to cause issues with your cats and your o2 sensors.
i have been chasing "ghost codes" for a couple months due to ignoring the relocation project.
get that done asap.
also, i have a new location for the k\s that works as well as a place where you can get it for about 50$.
