I know both of these have been discussed alot....

I just want to get a count;

Which tune people are using/like/better perf.?

& If the TBS is worth it as far as mpg/gains/like the noise?

Thanks

TBS is only hood for a nozzle port for Nitrous oxide or CO2 other then that its a paper weight.

as for the tune I left mine on 91 because you can't always find 93

From SUPERCHIPS;

Vince

There is a 93 octane tune with option for 3+ degrees of base timing adjustment.
At this time we have not dynode a truck with this tune so I cannot give you any figures
I have heard from some that they could feel a difference but I have also heard from some they did not feel any difference
We did not do any testing on modifications but they usually help.

Thanks, Rich Mckenzie

I'm probably just going to stick with the 91 tune and no TBS.

OK, looks like your on 33's...
do you know what your MPG is using the 91 tune on 89 vs 91 octane fuels?
With or without ethenol?
Did you also calibrate the speedo?

No i don't know the difference between 89 versus 91 because it's recommended to use at least 91 octane with the 91 tune. I'm sure you can get away with it. I know what the 91 is tho. Driving normal (strictly city driving in decent traffic) i got 16.255 mpg. I don't know what highway is because i hardly ever do. I'm sure its 21-22.

Just so you all know the performance gains for the different levels are;

91 perf mode 16.93 hp and 20.19 tq
91 tow mode 15.62 hp and 18.61 tq
87 perf mode 10.81 hp and 11.95 tq

There is a 93 tune but SUPERCHIPS never dyno it. According to people they talked to use it see alittle difference or none at all compared to the 91.

Plus 93 octane is not everywhere.

There is no difference between the two tunes. They are exactly the same. The 93 tune merely allows you to jump the timing up to 3 degrees. I run the 93+2 and it runs just like the 91 does, but makes it a little more "jumpy" at lower engine speeds.

So the 93 with the timing advanced 3 degrees is noticeable over the 91 perf. tune? (power/mpg better?)

Just to make sure the i have the WOT set correctly. The tuner says WOT restriction disabled. That would mean the WOT is on correct?

You have no pinging at all?

I'm alittle nervous to switch the tune. Because i had a communication error first time i did a tune. Just got to run your car first make sure the battery is charged and make sure everything is off

Thanks!
