anyone know where to find pictures of a Frontier with the stock black 16" steel wheels being used as daily wheels? I liked the look of that wheel more than the 16" aluminum ones currently on the truck and I'm considering tracking enough of them down to make a set of four more. It'll be awhile before I need 'em as I plan to wear out my current tires first.

I don't care for the normal non-spare 16" steel wheels as much. Maybe I'm a little strange.

I don't know if that's what your looking for. Here in Quebec snow tires are mandatory and spare steel wheels are kind of easy to find. I bought these original Frontier used because even the dealer sells universal that have a center hole hub that is to large for the Frontier leaving a gap in the center. That's it. I may get the stock normal steelies' center caps and paint 'em black or something, but that's the look I'm thinking about. I just like them better. The stock aluminum wheels on my truck don't really do anything for me, plus I could see them fairing poorly if one were to break a bead when out in the boonies.

The stock spare wheel is a very basic steelie. Doing some searches you would be better off jsut buying new (~$50)

rather than tracking down used spares as people seem to want 75-100 for and rusted
Unfortunately that Summit link doesn't work as it's for a five on 4.5"/114.3mm wheel, not a six on 4.5"/114.3mm. I searched under 2015 Frontier, 2006 Frontier, and 2009 Xterra and no wheels for any of them that I found through their website.

I live in a place that doesn't rust and has a decent number of auto wreckers. I'm going to look for 2013+ trucks and see what I find, as if I can get 'em in these later years then I might be able to just run the tires themselves. If I can find 'em in good shape like that then paying a little extra over a bare steel wheel might be worthwhile.

Just in case you care to see a pic of the stock steel wheels painted black.
Not bad. Might work. Those come up around here a lot, there's even a set for $100 with center caps on my local craigslist. Not in a rush to do this, so we'll see what's posted if a search for the spare wheels doesn't work out.

Your SV wheels are close to 25-26 lbs each, IIRC. Not sure about those steelies, though.
Good luck in your search.
