Anyone using this.

Looking to change manual tranny fluid and differentials real soon. I need feedback as well as quantities and what weights to buy...thank you!

A lot of people are going to recommend using Mobil 1 Synthetic or Amsoil Synthetic, but as long as the new fluid meets Matic J standards use what you feel comfortable with.

cool. yeah i read through that thread already. I assume the manual transmission fluid is replaced the same way..

What year is your rig? How many miles? Generally manual transmissions don't need the fluid change as often as the autos.

I decided that ill do the manual tranny fluid around 60k
So for the front diff i need 80W-90
Rear: 75W-90

Now dumb question. is the manual transmission different from the transfer case? Im very capable of doing this but want to make sure all my bases are covered

That pump seems a bit of an overkill. I got one for $10 at a local parts store.

From what I've heard, RP oils are geared more towards friction protection, with less emphasis on additives. (They offer good protection as long as you do frequent changes) I don't think they do as well with contaminants, as say oils like Mobil and Amsoil. Unless you get a really good deal on them, I wouldn't waste my money.

Transmission and transfer case are separate and require 2 different lubricants. I only know cause I'm in the middle of changing all my fluids.

I think you need 75W140 for the rear. I know mine does. It's an 08 6spd 4X4 SE.

i just bought 5 qts of RP ATF for my suzuki SX4 and 4 quarts of 75w-90 for the suzuki and the frontier

crap..iguess ill be returning some of the gear oil so i can get the right weight

You should double check. There are 2 rear end types. One uses 90 and the other 140. If you have a V6 4x4 with a manual you need the 140.
