I'm looking to get an LED light bar on the roof and would like to use the factory roof rails to hold it to minimize drilling holes into the body. Does anyone know of any clamping system that would work for the front parts of the rails? Also looking for recommendations for budget-friendly weatherproof light bars.
Thanks in advance!

I've had the same dilemma. Not many roof light bar mounting options for our truck without drilling.

I've tried a UK CF member(also Navara forum) but haven't received a response as well - the link below will give visual of what I'm shooting for.

The latest project - LED front light bar

There is a thread of a group (Offroad Gorilla) working on a prototype LED mount using the roof rack bolts. The guy has done it with his Xterra and sells them - I've been in contact with him over a year and half and no luck to date for the Frontier.

I recently found a local fabricator and Waterjet cutting service shop that may be able to fabricate mounts for my 40" light bar using the outside bolts on the roof rack(they recommended aluminum of course).

I'm meeting this Friday - if it gets any traction, I'll share the info with our group.

If you're willing to mount a little higher, you could clamp straight to the tubing with a cheeseborough style clamp from global truss or any stage lighting retailers. They're made to clamp to truss sticks of varying tubing size & come in a million configurations. Sometimes also called pro clamps or mega clamps. Capacity should be far more than you need for a light bar.

I had started another thread for the mounts which I updated this weekend - probably orders would be about a month out due to the fabricator being out. I'm waiting on my final version and will update that post for those interested though the sides may be uncut to keep costs down(water jet service charges $100/cut). I may just order 5 or so and sell those off.

I'm in for a set if the price is right. I've been waiting on Off road Gorillas version, but who knows how much longer that's gonna be.
