So I was putting in a replacement window on the second floor and looking down at my just bought new Frontier noticed the roof panel has some distortions, take a look at the pic, I put a white line that should be a straight reflection of my neighbors roof edge, and also you can tell the driver's side of the roof panel is distorted also. Is this normal or should I be suspicious of some undisclosed roof panel repair having been done poorly? I know black shows everything but it seems a bit too much distorted.

Thanks

Do you get Hail in your area? I know Dealerships will mark down Hail damaged vehicles instead of fixing them to save money. The dealership where I work does that but they give the customer the option of having it fixed at normal price or buying it at a greatly reduced rate.

It definitely came from the dealer this way, and look at both sides, passenger and driver, they both are distorted down the panel?!?!?!

If someone can confirm that it should be straight, then I can go the dealer with no doubts it a problem they need to fix, thanks

Unless it looks bad standing up close I'd leave it alone or you're going to be looking at only grief once touched.
Try it on another day when not baking in the sun and see if the heat is a factor.

Very interesting, so I just got back from the dealer, showed the salesman (who I dealt with before and actually trust), we looked at other Frontiers on the lot and guess what, this seems to be an issue. We found a number of them with the same distortion in the same place. Not an issue with the crew cabs because they have splits carved into the roof panels which gives them stability. In any case we had a tough winter, may be something cause by the weight of the snow, who knows, in any case they are going to have their paintless dent repair guy fix it for free. We will see how good a job he does.
