Am thinking CF'er 'raine' has these...or a Rigid model very similar.

You're correct.
I searched the forum before I posted and didn't get anything.
Just searched his build and found them.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yes it is.
Auxbeam makes a clone that's like $30.

Since you can buy just the frontier specific mount kit.

If the auxbeam fits this kit you're looking at 1/2 the price.

Personally, I've had too many issues in the past with pnp hids, ballasts, and junk eBay projectors.
If I do this I'm going with the rigid so I know it'll last.

For reference in my build thread:

(#431) Rigid Industries D-Series LED Driving Lamps (click for more info)

FYI I have the DOT/SAE certified versions, very happy with them. Worth the price, IMO.

LED bulb in a OEM halogen housing is a waste of $, even if it's half the price. Same deal as with the OEM headlamp discussion elsewhere.

Oh fore sure. On the site selecting the 5000k LED allows you to select the projector housing option. Bringing the price to about $160.

I think its similar (if not the same) as these

Oh okay, kinda confusing website there. Anyhow... can't comment on the Diode Dynamics "Luxeon" version, but I (and many others here in the forum) can vouch for the Morimoto XB-Series because I had those (click here) before I switched to the Rigids. The Morimotos are a nice upgrade from OEM... I think they're like $170/pair right now on TRS. I only sold my XB's because I switched to the Rigids.

Thanks and I agree.

I had made up my mind that I wasn't going to upgrade the lights on my 2nd frontier.
Then I had to drive my wife's 17 SL rogue with LED projectors.
That was a mistake!
I have never seen lights project that far out.
It easily doubles the distance of the pnp hids I had in my last frontier.

I think I'll go with this, then down the road fork out the big money for retrofitted housings and LEDs.

You probably can wire it into the stock system. I have done that with my other trucks(although not Ridgid lights)I wired them into my high beam switch so I do not have to fumble for a switch when there is on coming traffic. I have a separate switch that disables them since it is illegal in my state to use them.
That being said, they
generally come with a harness and a switch.
I have a Ridgid light bar mounted to my roof.
Yes , they are over priced. Are they worth it? Depends. If you can't afford to have them fail, maybe. If you can, no. You can probably buy four cheap versions for one Ridgid.
Also, look into Vision X lights. One good thing about them , you can change them to fogs, spot beams, driving lights by purchasing different plastic lenses that snap on.

Has anyone run this with the rigid floods? I have a pair of floods collecting dust and would be pretty interested in doing this
