Hey guys, not long ago rigid came out with this replacement grill for our trucks and i immediately got one to replace our ugly stock ones,

Its an aluminium 3 piece insert and the middle section has room to mount a 10 inch light bar. You have to take your existing grill out and dremmel out the old plastic and drill new holes for the inserts to mount.

Its all easy to do, just time consuming.

Figure i would share it with you guys. If you are interested, its Part #40598. They are quite expensive but i think they look good and nobody else makes anything.

here is a link to it.

i like those too but my HID retros are plenty bright.
yeah, unfortunately even my budget retrofit was such an improvement and if anything goes wrong with my set up im going to do a nut and bolt retro with better quality projectors, bulbs, ballasts.

What changed in the fog light area for that not to work on an '07?
i assume he means the inserts, since i believe the grilles are slightly different.

.. I was just reading the quote part with the link to the fogs

Ohh, I see now.. I was just reading the quote part with the link to the fogs. I re-read it, and it makes more sense. You are correct, the grill/light angle did change in '09.

on a side note, can you PM me a little more info about your "budget retrofit"? I don't want to hijack the man's thread. Thanx !!

@ Arthur,

That's a pretty sharp looking grille ya got there. However, I think Im gonna have to agree with the others & say that for the cost it should also come with the lightbar. Don't get me wrong, Rigid makes some excellent quality stuff. I actually have a set of Rigid duallys in my front grille mouth & a set of Rigid SR-Qs in the rear bumper, buuut that seems a bit overpriced for just the inserts. Now, I say all this but I'm sure I'll probably get a set of em with a good over-time check after the holidays.

@ street sweeper,

Good catch on the fog light inserts! I may get a set of those & a set of amber duallys to install with them. That would be sweeeet!

$450 for grill inserts and $330 for fog lights? Nah...I'm too poor to pull the trigger on that. Think I'll just save up and get the Hellwig sway bar and new tires instead...

The kit does come with Rigids SAE certified Dually fog lights which are fairly expensive themselves. However, since they're both fairly new products, I bet if you wait a couple months or so you could probably find both kits on Ebay or Amazon for much cheaper than what Rigid is asking for them on their website. At least that's what I'm planning on doing anyways.

Edit: After posting this I did a quick search to see if the fog light kit (brackets only) was listed on anybody else's website besides Rigids. CarID has them for $105 compared to Rigids $110. It aint much but its at least a little bit better.

I've ordered the mounting kit from them, hopefully my D2 dually's will fit in there. had some spare ones laying around so i figured i would give it a try.

If I'm not mistaken the D2's are little bigger than the standard Duallys, correct? Maybe get on Rigids website & compare the size of the SAE lights that come with the kit to the lights you're planning on installing. Just a thought..

Dang man. Youre gonna have like 50 bazillion lumens of light on the front of your truck by the time youre done!! Sweeeeet!

So i contacted rigid because their website wasnt clear to me whether their fog light kit came with sae d series lights. They confirmed it does come with the lights, brackets, and harness. Which is a decent savings to buy it all at once compared to individually.

Might be watching for black friday/cyber monday sales from rigid and picking some up.

Can anyone confirm whether the light bar is included with the grill? Nothing on Rigid's web site would seem to indicate that it does, and it's probably wishful thinking..

The light bar is not included with the grill. You have to get it yourself. there are too many choices for them to include one.
