This is a great idea but i would personally run all new wire through split tubing. I would probably add a switch because you might not want that reverse light on all the time when backing up. Just a through i know its within the law in PA to do exactly what you are doing. Love the idea tho.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but there is no wire for the back up lights in the 7 pin plug on the truck.

Also, first step is to see the amps that light draws before making any wiring or relay decisions.
I was looking for it when installing my back up camera(couldn't find it ). I just ended up splicing into the revere lights directly.

You might want to change ur back up lights to led for the look ? I am installing 2 24 watt flush mounted flood lights in my bumber probably gonna use a relay. How would u add a switch to turn them on with out going into reverce? This all depends on how I'm gonna wire my lights up because I want the option to use them as work lights also.

I was thinking about the on off on switch I just don't wanna run those wires all the way up and back I got a crew cab long bed and I feel like it would be wasting wire but I'm gonna look into it. I really want the capability to have them on without the car being in reverse
