Has anyone replaced a front axle then not have the hub lock up in four wheel drive? I replaced the right front axle and now the auto locking hub will not lock. It makes a clicking sound like it is trying but won't. I can hold the cams in on the hub and cause it to lock by hand but will not lock on truck. Any ideas?

I am thinking your auto hub was not installed correctly. The clicking sound is an indicator that you hubs are not set. I think you could try and swap the auto hubs (I don't think the hubs are side specific but you will want to check).

Are you sure it's just the right?

Problem solved. PaPa Auto parts gave me the wrong axle. They said they think it was for a 4 cylinder. Anyway all fixed up.
