I recently bought a 2008 VQ40 Frontier. It needs a bit of work, so I am in the process of fixing it up a bit. There seems to be oil dripping from the rear catalytic converter on the driver's side. Obviously the catalytic converter is not leaking oil, so I was looking for where the origin of the leak could be and it seems like it is coming from the driver's side valve cover. I just purchased OEM Nissan valve covers with gaskets. I'll plan to do all 6 spark plugs and make sure the coils look good. I'll also do an oil and filter change while at it.
The main question is whether there is anything else I would want to replace or do while I was in there? I'm new to the VQ40 so not sure what I'll come across, but I am thinking on the lines of intake manifold gaskets etc. I was thinking maybe I should throw some headers in there while I had some of the junk in my way removed as I will need to replace pretty much the entire exhaust anyway.
