Tried to use my bed extender the other night and realized that no matter how much I tightened the hand grip/nut thing the whole bracket was still able to slide around on one side. I figure the black plastic insert that normally slides up and down inside the side rail track has gotten worn and is being pulled out when the nut is tightened instead of bracing against the track.

Question is, where do people go for spare parts like this? I searched a few nissan sites but with no luck. It doesn't help that I don't know what the 'real name' of the component is.

If all else fails I'll go to a pick n pull/scrapyard, but I can't see that there'll be a lot of 07 Frontiers hanging around waiting for me to show up with my wrench....

Thanks

Here's an idea.

Most guys who put T-covers on their trucks have to install a kit that shrinks the sizing of the width of the bedextender while widening the "arms width" of the arms. This negates the use of the origional black block thingy.
I'd put a request up on the classifieds for this ... someone is bound to chime in ...
I would send you my old ones .. but I cut the crap out of them trying to make a bike rack that fit my utili-track.

Go to your local Nissan dealer get them to order them for for you. That is what I did. The thumbwheels for my bed divider did the same thing. They had no part numbers For different pieces for accessories so they had to make a phone order for the thumbwheels. A week later they came.
I don't if the thumbwheels for the divider are the same as the extender but here is the number that was on the bag.

I had this problem with my divider, I took the threaded insert all the way out on both of them. I cut a few grooves into the plastic parts, and then JB welded all around and put the threaded insert back in. I haven't had a problem since, and it's been almost a year. I use it quite a bit also.

Guess my dealer wasn't aware. He replaced the whole bed divider just for a loose knob. But then, they treat me well.

You have a dealer who cares and that goes a long way!

Hey Clint does the kit include just the knob or the knob and the piece that runs in the utilitrack

According to the bulletin the kit contains bolts and washer also but not sure if it's what you need.
