So my front shocks were pathfinder shocks that I got from Greg at prg when i did my lift and he though they would give a little extra lift, but I dont think they were doing much extra and now I know for sure that they were totally shot like I thought. I couldnt even go over a speedbump more than 2mph with out hearing a big clunk and jolt. ANd i know it wasnt coilbucket contact cause it doesnt hit at full droop cause all I have are CST spindles.

Anyways I got some stock Nismo front bilsteins from NissanNismo and figured if I popped them on there that it would be better than those pathfinder shocks and a good upgrade until I finally titan swap one day. So I put them on when I got home today and let me just say it's almost a night and day difference. I can take the speedbumps fast now and barely feel them. Better than it ever has been and the dips I can barely feel anymore going pretty fast over them. It rides a lot better and I know those old ones are shot now.

So do you guys think these are giving me and extra lift. I can't really tell yet, but I think they might cause when I jack the truck up now with the new bilsteins installed the upper control arm comes a lot closer to the coil bucket. No contact, but its like an eight of an inch away and it used to be like a quarter of an inch or so I'd say. Just wondering if you guys have any input on what they "should" do for me.

Anyways Im happy with them and my truck rides a lot better for now until I titan swap it eventually. Here's a pic. Sorry its all dirty.

Nice... The OE Nismo/Billies shocks are pretty good for what they are; I'd still be running mine if some 2.5s didn't come along.

Rampy: Get/borrow an "external" spring compressor to swap shocks; you might be better off with some Nismo/Billies IMO.

Thanks Devius for commenting. I Think I have a buddy that has a spring compressor or I guess I can rent one for less then they want to charge me to install them on my truck.

Dude you guys I just have to comment and let you guys know how stoked I am. I was at a swim meet all day with a lot of my friends from school. When it was time to leave I went to this spot right next to where we were camped out that I had been looking at all day. It was where the grass from the field ramped up and met to the dirt. Probably a goot 3 feet tall at like a 45 degree angle. Well right before I left I told all my friends what I was gonna do. I got a little ways behind the thing and slowly started out in 1st. i came at it like 20 mph and right at the last like 20 feet I punched it really hard, and.... my truck fricken sailed!!!!!!!! It was the most legit thing Ive ever done. I was so stoked. They all said I cleared all my tires off the ground at least 2 feet maybe 3. I was so amazed I hit it so even and didnt nose dive at all. My truck landed so awesome. I barely felt it and it only bounced a little. I was so pissed nobody got it on video though. I didnt even think i would go that high or land so smoothly. Im so stoked right now. And all i got is those bilsteins and spindles up front, and deaver and bilsteins in the back. Now i realize how much fricken potential my truck has I cant wait till I finish the front end. Ya yay!!!!

No, the bilsteins didn't give any lift that I know in stock form. They are better than the black OEM shocks but unless you have spacers etc, the shocks themselves aren't going to lift you.

BTW, after your last post 5Speed I think I know why your Pathfinder shocks were shot.

possibly. hahaha. but ive only barely jumped it a few times. yah i thought the bilsteins would give more lift but it seems like they give a little less lift. However, it seems like when i jack up the truck the upper control arms go even closer to the coil bucket with the bilsteins than the pathfinder shocks.

the shocks wont give you more lift however if your running V6s springs you should have about .5 to 1 inch of lift over the I4 springs as the V6s are about 100lbs stiffer springs

Well I found out someone did get a picture of my jump. Just not that great of a pic. They said I got all 4 tires like 2-3 feet off the ground, but this is more of a launch pic. Oh well. Better than no pic.
