Can anyone tell me how the seat height adjustment knobs on the left side of the driver seat (on some vehicles), are removed? I need to get them off for my seat covers and short of chopping them off with a sledgehammer or burning them off with a blow torch, I haven't figured it out. I tried the obvious like pulling, pushing, and turning past the point of adjustment, but I've learned my lesson about forcing things when you don't have any idea what the right way is.

The seat covers have little holes that aren't elastic, so I assume they are designed to go over the shaft the knobs are on, and not the knobs themselves.

maybe they are glued in. or set with a set screw try heating them up with a heat gun. i bet they are glued

I removed mine on the LE by pushing the hair-pin like clip off the plastic knob. You have to push the side of the seat in to see it. If I remember right the knob will push back on with the clip in place.

I know they are not glued.
