It was on the early morning news that Nissan was recalling some 2010 Frontiers, Pathfinders, Xterras, and possibly some other models for a suspension part. Anyone have any information?

i called the dealership today to ask about this (and a squeaky brake issue at 1200 miles) and the guy hadn't even heard about it but said he would check in nissans system. a few mins. later he got on the phone and said that, yes, i was involved in this recall so i go in tuesday next week for repairs.

all 2010's should call this into your dealer. they can tell you in a min or two if you are involved

I stopped by the dealer today. My truck was built in Dec. 09 and needs both lower control arms replaced. Based on a stamping of letters on the arm is how they know which to replace.
Dealer was great so zero complaints from me.

this is starting to be a fun truck to owne. in four months i have had the drivers window, rear drive shaft, rear axle, and now some control arms replaced. and my brakes squeak like you wouldnt believe. and i will tell you why. its because these are made by the same lazy hicks that make the american cars and trucks. japanese cars are not as reliable as they used to be.

Seems like the newer fronties are hit and miss. Most likely some guys are getting the friday late shift and early monday shift trucks off the production line.

i have a 2010 se cc 4x4 with the c2ook rear end. after 1000 miles or so i started hearing a fast paced clunking or knocking that started at 20 mph and got slower as the truck slowed. the dealer first said i had a rock stuck in the rear brakes, they said they removed it and noise was gone. it wasnt. dealer then replaced the rear drive shaft and noise was still there. finaly they took the diff cover off and found metel in the diff and replaced the entire rear axle. noise is gone. i followed the break-in procedure to a t. i got a lemon axle i guess. it is a great truck now. except for the brakes. my dads altima brakes squeeked but quit after a while. so im hoping mine quit. also, before the drive shaft was replaced, when taking off from a stop it felt a clunk like my drivers seat was loose. after the new drive shaft was installed the clunk was gone.
i traded a 2008 trd v6 4x4 tacoma for the frontier. the frontier is alot smoother and alot more solid. the tacoma tried to take off across the parking lot at lowes by its self, scared the sh.t out of me. took it to the dealer and they said it wasnt on the recall and could not find anything wrong with it.

Stopped by my local dealer. They knew nothing about the recall. Does anybody know if this is a 2x4 or 4x4 thing or does it even matter.

Yesterday I asked the dealer if my truck is included in the recall when I was picking it up. They checked something and said it's not. I'm not sure if I should believe them.

It's a brand new truck (2 days old). No idea about specific production date.

my understanding was it was for frontiers made within a certain window not necessarily a 4x4 or 4x2 thing but im in and i'm 4x4. thought you were too so we should be in the same boat. plus it's not just frontiers it's also several other models.
