Is it true these sound deadener's adhesive literally stinks after installation? If so, for how long?

I didn't notice any smell at all. Even had the truck closed in the baking sun in the summer and getting in noticed no smell.

Is it true these sound deadener's adhesive literally stinks after installation? If so, for how long?

I had zero smell either. Must be only certain brands, or perhaps that was a past thing and these guys have got their stuff together regarding adhesive quality vs terrible odor?
