When i changed my rear shocks the other week i found my rear leaf springs pretty much flat. my truck's comin up on 90k, and I haven't put any heavy loads in the back, and havent hauled a trailer around in a while. does anyone in the vancouver bc area have any suggestions for replacements, and good place to get them from? I doubt i'll buy replacements from the factory seeing as how they didnt last too long. thanks folks.

You might look at the Deaver AAL kit from PRG or the 3" AAL from 4x4. You could use these to replace the shackles and put some shape back into your existing leafs.

This is what I did when my springs went flat and so far so good.

the aal will do that for you automatically. basically they are formed with a bow in them where the overload spring is formed flat. So by removing the overload spring and replacing it with the aal spring pack the remaining springs will adopt the shape of the aal.

BTW - This is why 4 large c-clamps are required.

I doubt that, and my experiance is the AAL's will go flat and or break when the main pack is bad. I would go with gregs (PRG) 10 pack rear leak springs. I love mine, the truck rides way better than stock and provides about 2" lift

ok, well that is what Greg recomended to me and I bought his Deaver springs based on that. So far the result is exactly as described.

Have they made any noticeable difference in your pay load or towing capacity?
according to the prg website "You will loose a small amount of load capacity with these springs compared to stock. "

I dont know, i load anything i can physically fit in the truck. And that meens at times overloaded, but i can say is that the whole purpose of the overload spring is to keep the main leaves from flattening or worse negatively bowing. When load either staticly or dynamicly, the leafs go down to the overload. I like my 10 packs and havent had any issues with them and theyve been on about 2 years

I have the 3-leafs from Automotive Customizers for about 3 years now and they are still good. Maybe they have held up better then the PRG one since AC use one more leaf and they are longer.
Anther plus for AC's pack is that they give 3" of left not 2".

Got my pkg from PRG pre-paid shipping to Vancouver from Calif. but the DUTY charged by customs was over $200.00 (on a $1600.00 sale)

I don't know I am real happy with the deavers from PRG. They totally solved the problem I had with 4" blocks, the truck rides amazing, and I've got mad flex.

Only 2" of lift from the 10pack? That's impressive. Is that before or after settling?

I am considering replacing my 2" blocks with a new pack or an AAL. I want my truck to sit level (with 2.5" in front), or max of 1/2" higher in back and was concerned that even an AAL would be higher than the 2" advertised average.

thanks for the help guys. Im leanin towards replacing the leaf pack entirely, just the matter of where to get it. 200 bucks duty isnt right. I'll check out the prg site.

In the link domoMKIV post, those are ARB left pack and they actually increase payload.

As far as the duty goes, it sucks donkey nuts. But...this time for me was alright. I just got my PRG basic coilover pkg w/deavers and only paid I believe $68 for duty! When I had talk to Greg he said he would ship the package at half value so that I would pay less duty and taxes. And he did. Shipping receipt had even less than half value registered on it.

my leaf springs are not flat, but the middle leaf on both sides is broken in half. i assume i need to replace both sets? my local mechanic isn't much help.
We are talking about different left spring opinions that well lifted the rear of 2005 and up frontiers. Not replacement parts.
