Well I have been researching what to do for the rear lift for my 09 pro-4x. Ive gotten alot of help from members here already. I only want to have to spend the money once. I dont want to buy shackles just so I can eventually replace the sagging leaf springs. Ive seen a couple AAL choices (AC and Deaver) and a few complete new leaf packs (Deaver 10pack, ARB OME dakar pack, and a full custom alcan)

Im looking for the same amount of lift front and rear. In the front Im goin w/ 2.5 radflos or icons and PRG UCA if i could get ahold of greg. Rear shocks are in limbo(radflo/bilsteen most likely) depending on how much of my budget I eat up.

I dont jump my truck, im more of a 4x4 guy. Im leaning towards the ARB OME new leaf packs right now. They offer 2 - 2.5 inches of lift. All the nav guys seem to love em and alot of over seas ppl aswell. 4x4parts sells em (medium duty) for 350/pair. The best ive found aside from there is around 200$ each. If my fron sat to high for the 2" rear lift I could always add a small block.

If anyone had any suggestions as to what has worked or not worked for you let me know. Especially anybody with the ARB stuff. Thanx!

Hey there -

If you are going with front coilovers with UCA's (great choice), then I'd consider Automotive Customizers 3-leaf 3" AAL's. Your rear articulation / flex will be better. If you are planning to wheel, I'd go with this. This is what I'm looking to do longer term + coilovers.

Also, check out mike's build, he has them on with a few pic's flexing. Its post #10.

something thats very cheap that will give you good reliable lift in the rear is the custom frontier/xterra hybrid leaf pack http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f23/diy-rebuilt-leaf-springs-38250/

i know this has been done by a few other members too, he claims 4in of lift from the leaf pack alone i'm sure you bring that slightly down if you leave out maybe one of the leafs or something to bring you closer 3 in if thats what your going for. either way check it out its really cool

not sure why the link isn't working, the title of the thread is DIY - Rebuilt Leaf Springs. try doing a quick search for that i guess...
