So I was finishing up putting some spacers on my truck today and was jacking the passenger side up to take it off the jack stands and all of a sudden I hear this huge pop out of nowhere. It was a big, deep pop and sounded like when you pop a big balloon or a plastic bag and was loud enough that it scared the snot out of me.

Anyone ever heard of anything like that or have any idea what it could have been? I looked up under the truck and couldn't find anything that looked out of the ordinary (except I found that the pinion seal in my rear diff looks like it has been leaking for some time). Everything is driving fine and haven't heard any weird noises so I'm hoping something harmless just shifted.

maybe the noise came from the jack. i got a similiar noise when my floor jack got fully extended.

Was it front strut spacers or rear leaf blocks?

You know that actually came to mind when it happened. Mine doesn't go very high and was about to its limit and my immediate thought when it happened was that it was about to give out.
