Rampage Black Dakar Bar Light Bar & Grille Guard; anyone?

I actually was just about to post this topic. I like this bar better than any of the others I have found. If anyone has any feedback please post it.

If you go on the calmini website and look at their pre runner bumber there is a ggrey cc that has a safari looking bumper guard that look cool too. But of course it is not listed as being for sale there.

I guess it's not a popular part, this one was FS for almost a year

So, DIVIUS1 you have a White Rhino Installed on your truck, right? Do you have the updated version or the first that came out? How was the installation for you, how does it fit? and I guess those come unpainted (bare metal) so what did you do about paint? What are your thoughts about your bar versus the Rampage Black Dakar Bar Light Bar & Grille Guard, if any?

yea, I found that one but it's not available in Black only stainless steel... check it out:

Mine is the 1st version.. tabs on top, I welded the center ones on; been thinkin' of adding a 3rd light, WRF can make it in different styles for you tho'.
I just cleaned the bare bar w/laquer thinner and sprayed away, mounting was easy esp. if you have an angle drill for the 4 extra holes needed behind the bumper.
I have no idea about the Dakar bar so I can't really say.

Thanks for the reply.... so you have to drill holes for the WRF? I know the Dakar has mounting brackets, but not sure where they go and how it looks. That's why I'd like to see picts - the old post has no longer pictures available except for a FORD click here which I've already seen online and a FJ CRUISER click here (or whatever it's called). The Product Description for the DAKAR says "No Drilling Required"

the white rhino bar requires 4 holes to be drilled in the rad supports. its just a couple of stamped steel brackets, doesnt really affect anything structural and its only 4 holes in an unnoticeable place.

Which one did you decide. I still like the rampage. But I really like this one with the skid plate too. https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/fro...el-p-3278.html. I just didnt want to spend that much.

Haven't made a decision yet. But it will either be the White Rhino or the Dakar - leaning more towards the Dakar.

not sure if this is the one you are looking at but i am waiting on my order and will keep you posted as to how it fits, mounting, etc............

Yes Sir! That is the one. Please do keep me posted! Oh and Picts would be awesome.... are you installing lights on it? If yes, what kind and size. My plan is to have 6" or so HELLA driving lights (I already have OEM Fog-Lights). Thanks SUBVET733!

will do ! should get it this week but not sure when i am gonna get a chance to install it - hopefully this weekend IF i get it by then

i went with this because i aint too crazy about the westin bars (too common on EVERYTHING) and wanted to keep on somewhat of a budget at the same time, i like the other bars out there but some seem too much for my everyday driver or just too much $

as far as lights - depending on what goes on i am looking at the KC slimline 121's OR the Hella Black magic (want to keep the whole black theme going - see my gallery for pics)
