I'm a fan of Crutchflield and today swapped my stock 2011 radio with a single DIN JVC CD radio player.
The JVC is about 9 years old but I used the new wiring connector from Crutchfield.
Swap went well, however now my airbag dash light stays on flashing, and also, the fan, heat, AC buttons seem to be defaulting to defrost mode only. I'm wondering if my unplugging the various dash controls and warning lights caused the electronic module behind the radio replacement bezel to act up. Has anyone had this happen?
How do I reset this if that is needed.
Kinda frustrated after all my good luck with Crutchfield of 25 years or so, now this...

Thanks for reading.:frown:

I never unplug the things you did when changing the stereo, I leave them connected. You may want to read this and try it for the air bag light.

For the other controls, I have not had them out for a while but is it possible you got the plugs back on the wrong controls? Then may be different plugs and that not be possible, but it is something to consider.

Thanks TruckIt,

I'll try the rest on the airbag light and found the instructions from previous posts.

On the climate control circuit panel which is behind the plastic bezel, the Crutchfield instructions said to unplug the panel which you have to do also to replace the stock bezel for after market radio install. It seems to be in default defrost mode only as the other controls don't work except the fan.
The 3 plugs on the back of the climate control are all unique and so only work one way. One is for the emergency flashers, the middle one is for the heat, ac, fan etc, and the right one is for the air bag on/off light. I read on another post un plugging the air bag light is what causes the light to flash and why it needs to be reset.

Climate control fixed

After staring at the climate controls and bezel from Crutchfield I realized the plastic replacement from Crutchfield was pinching the defrost button, which is what was making it stuck in down position.
So not all plastics are created equal.?
