Got my truck and license last year, (I was 16, 17 now) and I ****ed it up pretty bad. I hit multiple things, rolled the sum ***** in a ditch I mean it was a nice looking truck at first. But now I'm at the point where I am almost done with high school and plan on getting a new truck next year.

So for now my current truck has some pretty decent body damage, not really much rust aside from the areas where there are chips or the back bumper. When I rolled my truck broke the passenger side window, put a decent size dent in the right side and busted out the back window to get me and gf out.

Right now I'm thinking of taking the fender flares off since they're dented and or falling off and was reading up on a bed liner type look either on the fender flares or the body itself kinda like making my own type of fender flares without really having them? Would that be a good option or just stick with the flares?

And if I take the flares off would it require me to take off the bumper?

(by the way any other modifications you could recommend for a High Schoolers budget lol.)

I think it really comes down to personal choice. I painted mine with plasti-dip and think they look great. You won't have to remove the bumper, just make sure you have all the screws out before you take it off. The plastic pieces the screws go through can become softer or just all around weaker depending on weather and other driving factors. What year, model/trim truck do you have? Also glad you and your gf are ok. Before I bought my frontier I had been told they are amazing when it comes to safety which helped sway my decision In getting mine

This is a kinda old thread haha. I've already took fender flares off both front and back, sprayed on the bed liner so far.

Haha whoops, the date is so faded and tiny on the app I always miss it. Do you like the flares off? I couldn't get passed leaving the holes in mine. But I also really enjoy the black on yellow color I have goin

Have your driving "skills" improved?

Kind of an old thread? Two weeks is hardly old when the truck hasn't even been built for 13 years and the forum is around that age as well. This thread was probably still on the first page.
Hey, when you're 17, two weeks is a long time ::wink::

How did you roll it?

went around a horseshoe corner going down hill on a back road and was only going about 20mph but once I was out of the turn I punched it and the back end got too loose and over corrected and rolled it.

just send it!
