Truck info, 2013 SL with 30K miles (do all the fluids every 30K) same as I have done on my 07 since day one.
When I heard that whine, the dealer replaced my whole rear diff/calipers/rotors rather than press in new bearings - this was their recommendation and they forgot that I had 4 days left on my extended warranty, so I gladly authorized them to perform the work. I'd be going back and requesting the service you paid for already.
