Do you really need the Control arms??

I know it mentions that it is highly recomended but do you really?

I would recommend only a 2" without the control arms. Unless you don’t mind a lot of nasty noise. I have a set of 2" you can have if you take it off.
what kinda noise is it? like rubbin at full lock?
its like your metal upper control arm smacking your metal upper coil bucket every time your suspension droops at all.
i believe there is an empty hole in the stock control arms, you could put together a rubber stopper to prevent this noise! not sure how it will last though, ill try it when i put my 2.5 inch spacer on
it doesn't prevent the noise, just changes the noise. The contact is still there, it's just "cushioned" by the rubber stopper. I have a 3" spacer and it's bad. I ground away a bit of my UCA where it makes contact and it made a big difference. I'm sure I weakened the UCA though. Eventually I'll titan swap it with PRG titan UCA's, so I'm not too worried about it for now.
The truxxx spacer is the only spacer with a built in rubber stopper to help with UCA contact. There is an arm that sticks out of the spacer that has a rubber stopper on it to quiet down coil bucket contact.

I only had the spacer installed on my truck for <6 months, but I never heard coil bucket contact (everything else was stock). However, i'm 2wd and I did not do any wheeling with the spacers installed. I'd assume that the arm would eventually bend after some hard hits, but it worked just fine for me during the time i had them.

Also, if it matters, the Truxxx spacer does not lift the full advertised 3"
The spacers will give you 2.4" - 2.5" of actual lift (after alignment).
Didn't someone have some kind of issue with the added bump stop and their tire or something like that?

Also, the UCA contact just sounds bad. Every time you hit a bump or pull out of a driveway or whatever, it will bottom out and cause the smack/clunk noise. You may be able to live with it but you will get looks like "WTF is wrong with that truck".
Wheels with too much backspacing >5"(stock) would have an issue, most guys wanna wider stance anyway so it's a rare problem.

Cam Bolts are needed with that much lift tho'.
nvm... if it's an 05'.
i had the 3" Truxxx spacers at first - and the UCA noise really bothered me. Also, the built-in spacers simply bent when they hit the UCAs and then it was metal on metal rubbing noises. good times.
My 2.5'' is mild, and it only happens when my suspension drops pretty good, not a "medium" drop. Budget boost.

You could buy the PRG radflo 2.0's. They can add up to 2'' or maybe 2.5'' and use the stock UCA's.
Yeh, see i want to run a lift aroun 3 inches that is under 500 dollars. I have a relly good deal on some 285/75/16 Nitto's, (terras). So i really wanted to be able to get them. I talked to the wizard? i forgot his name but i am sure everyone knows who i am talking about and he said he did not install the UCA's, It will NOT be offroaded anytime soon since i am still paying off the truck, And my thoughts is that i could just install the kit and later on add the control arms, due to money situation

ya - no harm in what you wanna do. just be prepared for some noise on full extension. I ran my 3" Truxxx spacers for about 6 months before I swapped in coils.
sweet, i appreciate it guys, I am new to the Frontier suspension. I used to have a ZR2 and they are similar in a way, but i just need to get use to frontier suspension.
