Just purchased a Nissan hood protector. It has a brown tint to it and looks awful on my truck (Night Armor). Anyone else have this problem? Any others same style as OEM with a black or smoke tint? Thanks.

Bedline it. The Nissan OEM sits real low to the hood doesn't it? Not like you need to see through it...

Hell, plastidip it any color! Or stickers, I've considered stickering up my weathertech...

I suppose I was curious if it was faded or they all look that way.

Mine isn't true black, but it is really dark. The sun has to hit it right to look 'brown' - but then again, I live in a rainforest.

I never thought mine looked anything but black. Against a black truck helps but even before I put it on the truck black is the only color that came to mind.

I removed the hood protector. Its an obvious flawed item and I am not running it. It almost looks purple in light with Night Armor paint behind it. Thanks for replies.

Mines been on my truck for years now, under the TX sun. It was a very, very dark color when I got it. Now that it's got some age on it, it's faded just a bit and now it's a really dark brownish color. Doesn't really bother me. The only reason I put it on was because of the crappy paint on the edge of the hood. Rocks had it all torn up with the truck just 6 months old. Repaired them and put the hood protector on.

I had the OEM Nissan guard on my old '06 Night Armor Frontier and it looked black to me....

I've got a chrome one, love it, I hated the tint/smoke look. There's a picture in my album on my home page.
