well as you all know i am trying to sell my truck and wanting to get( need) a 4door so im looking at the pro-4x. Only thing i don't like about it is there all automatic man. I just hate thinking if i ever died out from a battery issue i could not kick start it. Sooo.. my question is who has a lifted pro-4x?? Im planning on a mild lift, maybe calmini again and some prg radflos since there bigger and thats about it, Maybe and maybe a 2 inch body lift but doubt it because my gf has to drive it. let me know guys, also pictures would be awsome

...sorry
whats so funny?
Its not a dirtbike... Thats what the key is for! If you mean push-starting, then just carry a set of jumper cables for the rare occasion (every 5 yrs) that your battery may go dead. On the other hand, I don't blame you for wanting a manual, just not for that reason.
why, its literally kicking the clutch to start it when your rolling, you hold it, then popp it and kick on it again. you guys are wierd and not answering my question, thanks for the clutter guys.
they were just kick starting your thread. what would be so different about lifting a pro4x that you need to see pics of? same truck, plastic bumper. same os my 07 LE

I was thinking the same thing.

The only thing you have to worry yourself about is that if you get a 4wd, you will have to watch your CV angles and if you install monster tires, the front diff may have issues in the mud since you do live on a wet island.
I have a lifted Pro-4X. It is a 2009 King Cab, 6-speed.

Here is my build thread on ExPo. Pro-4X Build Thread - Expedition Portal Forum

I have Old Man Emu front springs and struts and PRG 2" blocks in the rear. I get 2" of lift out of the front. No upper control arm noise.

Let me know if you have more questions.

the Pro-4x is the same as the nismo the CC are all autos

why not get a CC SE? Everything the makes it a Pro-4x besides the locker and stickers you just said you are going to replace. Get an SE and save the money for mods. You will still get a M226 in the CC SE 6-speed so you can easily put a true track locker in it.

yah man thats true, but they look so good. I might have to consider your opinion so i can put mroe money to mods.. I will check my dealer what they have. and i really do feel better with a manual. Nissan sucks for not making a 6spd nismo

who told you that you couldn't get a 6spd nismo? I am driving a 2009 Pro-4X 6MT.

i need a four door man, your a king cab and i already have a king cab at the moment. But yah my gf is leaning toward an xterra... so we have to see. This thread was for lifted pro-4x, i just wanted to see who has lifted theres.
I have to ask, will this GF be a wife at some point? If not, then the GF's opinion shouldn't really be the deciding factor.

Plus, an Xterra is a shorter wheelbase so lifting it too much will make it a bit more unstable.

at some point it will but not any time soon. Im doing this for my kid that is comming soon that she is carrying so she can put her opinion in it.

get the 4 door truck. its great for putting the stroller and all the goods you will be hauling to the house - plus dog etc etc that will follow. my wife is from Europe and always had small(er) cars - but she LOVES driving my truck.

Ahhhh, then her opinion really does count.

I only asked since I have seen a lot of posts where it is up to their GF/BF on the decision and not themselves.
yah i know what you mean, also driving an xterra would be nice, something new and i would want to lift that bad boy, there is like no lifted xterras on my island.. Maybe i could be the first. I seen prices and they are alot cheaper then the frontiers, so might be a thought. Don't want to give up the truck but i have to..
Do you have room on your property for a trailer? If so, then an Xterra isn't that bad since you can always hook up the trailer when you need to move heavy stuff.

i don't have a trailer, would be helpful but here in hawaii you have to register and have it safety checked and everything like a regular car. I don't think i'll be moving big heavy things but i would love to have a bed still, To me its going to be the price they give me on a new fronty compared to the xterra. which ever fits my budget will have to do. thanks for your inputs.
I liked the ride and drive of the CC over the Xterra - so I bought CC and put taller ARE cap on back - think you might find that by time you get kids stuff in x-terra, you don't have much room left.
