Some reason your link wasn't clickable. Not a bad article. The gist I got was frontier is inexpensive, old but originally over engineered and still works today.

I know I have said on here before, $2,000.00 bought me:
An SV 4x4 CC with heated seats, dimming mirrors, sliding rear window, bed rack and rails, towing package and nice aluminum wheels........
Instead of a base ext cab 4x4 4 cyl auto Tacoma. I never even considered a V6 Tacoma due to the crazy price increase.
I couldn't have got a 2wd Tacoma with the same extras as my SV for the same price and 4 wheel drive was a priority with my purchase.
When I left my house that Monday morning I knew I would look at both Nissan and Toyota but was almost positive I would be driving home a Toyota. Once I drove the Frontier I was determined that It was what I would get or keep what I already had.

$31,500 for a 2017 Pro-4x KC 6MT on the lot near my house. Last fall they had them marked down to $28,999. By far and away the best value for a truck in Canada. The new Titans are a great deal too.
