I got the prg advanced extended coilover lift kit. The coilover is longer than stock shock, and i cant get it to fit. I get the 3 bolts up top in and aligned, but when i try for the bottom of the strut the hole is like 1/2 inch away from being aligned to put bolt through. Ive tried prying up with a bar but still cant get it up enough to stick bolt in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How did you remove the stock coilover? Did you detach the upper control arm from the spindle? That allows the lower control arm to drop down more.

Get a hammer, and smack the ball joint, it will eventually pop and break free from the upper control arm. Hit it where the red arrow is pointing below, and dont be a girl about it, youd need a pretty big hammer to do any sort of damage.

Try using a mallet to seperate them.

Sledgehammer to the front of the spindle is the safest way to separate it because it is the method least likely to cause damage or to have you end up with a spinning ball joint. You may need to whack it a few times.

Doesn't the advanced kit come with UCAs? You'll need to get that bolt off to replace them - use anti-seize when you put them back together.

I used this puller, much easier than beating on the spindle with a hammer.

My passenger one came undone with a couple good whacks from a 1.5lb engineering hammer. The left I had to beat from the bottom, but since I put SPC UCAs on, I wasn't worried about damaging the stock parts. Just did it Saturday. You'll love how it rides.
