I have 265/75/16 Toyo AT'S on stock rims with no lift. they rub a little at full lock in the front fenders (better after I took off the mudflaps)
huge improvement over stock tires. better traction off road with some tire whine on the road... i just turn up the radio:laugh:
why 235's?

well i dont now if i what to change tire size and kill my mpg's and 235 are oem size
i have the 2" leveling kit, clears 31's no problem. Your mpgs are inflated by the stock tires, 31's will get the speedo to read accurately. It looks pretty lame with stock size tires and just a leveling kit, so the full lift won't be pretty.

do you have a pic so i can see how your truck sits
I'll take one in the morning. the top of the bed sits dead level. But if you're going to put more than a few hundred pounds in the back, get air bags or helper springs (Hellwig 550 - Hellwig EZ-550 Helper Spring Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com). it gets annoying after a while. the bigger tires also help with having high rpms on the freeway, if you have a stick.

thanks for your input and yes i have a stick and what kind of mpg's go u get
you should clear some 31s man. Im running 265/75R16 with 4" of lift in the front. I was rubbing some though cause i had to put adapters on the front and the backspacing of my rims makes it even worse. However with a little lift in the front on stock rims youll definitely clear that size tire. Also, I think that size is like stock on the nismos. I recommend ripping off that little front lowest plastic piece on our trucks bumper though. That little lower valence of the plastic bumper with like the little mini mud flaps on it. That will make the front end look way better.

I have a 5 speed as well in my 4 banger. Im not sure about mpg but there will be a slight decrease in power. But after a little while you probably wont notice it. Plus you can always get me to help you and do a custom intake or headers or something to get a little power back. I dont notice it anymore with my intake and headers. Hahahaha. I race my little 4 banger. Still, our 4 bangers will never be fast, hahaha. When i just had those 31s on though I would say that the power loss wasnt too dramatic but it was there. Maybe noticeable on like big hills and having to downshift. The good thing is that we have a manual so youll really be able to get them around just fine. It might be worse on the automatic 4 cylinder.

But dude. I cant wait to see what you do to it. Since im in the O.C. too I can help you out. Im excited to see another 4 cylinder on here. Im so stoked my 4 cylinder is finally represented and got nominated for TOTM. ask up the questions though man. You cant go wrong with PRG either. Heres another pic of mine before and after. keep in mind mine has about 4" in the front and 1.5 to 2" in the back. around that. and the tires stick out more than the stock rims will.

If you just get a 2" leveling kit up front, some 31s, then get your stock steelies painted black, rip of that front little valence piece, and then do a little tint job and your XE will totally change.

dude totally changes the look of the XEs. Sick. I just like taking off that little front valence piece with the little mud flaps. I was happy when I took that off.
I'm thinking about. I also want a better looking bumper than stock, the plastic looks nasty.
Dude I hate my plastic bumper too. It sucks as well because its attached to the body below the grill and plus my plastic is just faded. I wanted to paint it black or white but not sure about it. Also sucks with putting on fiberglass. Devilrunner made it work though by just cutting part of the bumper from the body and bending it out with the fenders. One day when I get my fenders Im gonna just try to pull it out to match the fenders then eventually ill just cut the thing off and get a custom made tubular bumper
