The other day I upgraded from a free membership. It's only $15.99 per year or $47.99 for a lifetime subscription and has benefits to us as described here in the forums, as well as helps to keep this place open for us. Anyone else want to join me by upgrading their status too? Just thought I would ask..........

It's nice to have all the ads gone as well as supporting the site. It was just a suggestion and not to guilt anyone into joining. :noworries:

Rather than start a new thread might as well dust off this old one!
I knew this was a fantastic forum from the start so figured I'd pay the paltry $20 and go premium, I've lost access to information on other forums when they went down and they didn't have backups due to being on a shoestring budget. I still copy/paste everything I can and save it just in case...

Here what I got for my money:
Reset airbag light
Learned about SMOD and replaced radiator
Replaced spark plugs without removing manifold
Replaced AF, ATF, PS fluid
Installed plug and play remote start
Replace tires and TPMS with no trip to dealer for "activation"

I'm only a few weeks into it but there is a long list of additional things to do, some are common maintenance items, some discovered through forum posts, and some suggested by other members from their own experience. All of it will be made so much easier thanks to the time and effort of fellow Frontier owners posting detailed instructions and pictures of their work.
I'd rather spend my time not working on cars but getting to work and being able to get around in the world is important so I grudgingly do it. I suppose I could pay someone to do it for me but I'm frugal and have trust issues. Also by doing as much as I can there will be more money for when I need to bring in the experts.

The $20 premium membership wouldn't have even been enough to reset the airbag light at the dealer!
Thanks All!

Robert
