I'm taking 05 truck into dealer tomorrow. After reading the forum appears most users replaced factory radio. I have the 6cd changer and don't want to change it. Just want the FM radio to improve. Does anyone know if it is the antenna, wiring, or radio itself? I'll post what the dealer tell me, but my guess is nothing. My 1998 Ford Ranger radio was fine. Dealer said nothing was wrong. Does anyone know how I can contact factory?

Usually, there is a screw in the back of the head unit that allows the radio to be tuned into the antenna. Very often this is not done at the factory. It can be done at home if you pull the head unit out.

Pick a station that is fuzzy. Turn the screw until the station comes in the best. This will dial in the antenna.

The dealer said there is no screw. Any other ideas? Thanks

Most dealers don't know how many tires are on a truck. I would check for myself if I were you.

And if not, you are already halfway to replacing the thing.
