I bought my red 02 xe fronty about 8 months ago right as I started my first semester of college. Honestly I choose it over a two door Tacoma because I wanted back seats. lol I guess technically I could fit somebody back there, but I haven't been that mean yet. She has been amazing and reliable(only broken down once and minor malfunction about $130 to fix). I love her despite being 6'2 and taller than my truck, and the lack of acceleration when you put the foot down or the 16 mpg on the highway and something worse when I drive her to school and back everyday. My truck has its scratches and dents I actually think it builds character. She also has been choking on a semi clogged front passenger cat, but I'm gonna have a muffler shop redo the exhaust and despite the 170000 miles on her she looks very oem and runs well. I love having a long bed and I wish I had a roof rack. theough all of it I havent gotten a ticket yet so maybe the lack of power is a good thing. Since I don't have 4 wheel drive I haven't gone mudding yet and shes been parked in some sketch parts of town and not once broken into. I love the space behind the back seat too. It holds my shotgun perfect. I hope my fronty will last for many years and hundreds of thousands more miles.

welcome. congratulations on your truck acquisition. i had my 4-cyl 83 King Cab
since it was new new and sold it last Aug for $100. i was using a screwdriver to
start it after the ignition was punched. I replaced with a 2011 KC 6-sp and
love it - night/day difference (natch).

update

I have just spent the weekend painting my plastic wheel fender covers, bumpers, cowl, and bed rails (because the idiot who had it first ripped those off). They are now a very good looking black bed liner which was a rustoleum brand from walmart or homedepot. I am very pleased with how it came out I will post a picture of my truck sometime, but my phone is now sitting in a bag of rice since a mountain bike trail I went through on monday had deeper water than I thought.
