I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PUT 20" WHEELS ON & ALSO FIT A NICE SIZE TIRE ON IT ....I AM WORRIED THAT IF I JUST PUT THE LEVELING KIT(2.5 & 1.5 READYLIFT) AND THEN PUT THE 20" WHEELS WITH 285/50/20 TIRES I AM NOT GONNA LIKE THE LOOK OF THE SHORT WALLED TIRE. NOW IF I AM WRONG IN THAT ASSUMPTION PLZ LET ME KNOW CUZ I HAVE NEVER OWNED A FRONTY B4 AND NEVER ATTEMPTED TO HAVE ANY MY VEHICLES CUSTOMIZED. Okay, it sounds as if you are a 16yr old kid or something.

Can you please use complete sentences and words to express your thoughts and questions?

It sounds like you are going for looks alone with some 20" rims. If you are doing that, then just do a spacer in front and possibly a shackle in the rear. This is the simpliest thing that you can do.

If you want to go all out and make it a beast, then use the Calmini 5" with a Tswap and extended COs. For the rear, a custom leaf pack (prg, alcan, hybrid, etc...). Then you can have the "BIG TRUCK STATUS" as you call it.

If you are really goin for the "big truck" look than don't even mess around with the small ready lifts or anything. Your best option would be going with the 5" calmini suspension lift. It's the cheapest lift kit I can find and it will really give your fronty the "big truck" look that you are searching for. I'll post a link to where you can get it for the best price. As far as your rims go...I really wouldn't recommend 20"...I would say get an 18" rim with a 35" tire. That looks the best for sure!! Good luck with your fronty build...hope this helps...Screamin Lizard Customs - Hemi JK Conversion Experts Screamin Lizard Customs, Hemi and JK Conversion Specialists website. I wouldn't even go on a gravel road with 285/50/r20's let alone off roading. 20's are mainly for filling in the wheel well with "bling" hense just using the leveling kit for clearance. Putting a larger lift with those wheels will make it look like a hay wagon. Stick with 18's and 35" tires.

There were those pics with the frontier and pathfinder on 20's here once.

*edit*
tried finding it but na, do a serch under "20's" you'll find plenty there

I think you need to do a bit more research. You are saying several conflicting things most likely attributed to a misunderstanding of what is for "looks" versus "functional". Look through the gallery on this web site- if you can't find what you are looking for there, then your expectations are probably unrealistic.

I agree with Jordo. Just do a 2" body lift and then do a 3" suspension lift up front with either a spacer, adjustable bils/coils or coilovers. For the rear do a 2" AAL or full leaf pack.
OR
Do a 2" body lift with a 4" spindle and then a 3" AAL in the rear.

There are so many options I guess the REAL QUESTION is, how much are you willing to spend?? An actual number would help us help you, not a response like "as little as possible".

This might be exactly what you are looking for but keep in mind that there are alternative methods to getting the same amount of lift.

I hope your not hyperventilating after you typed that.

Big truck look huh? Why the hell did you buy a mid size? You can get a big truck look out of a mid size? Thats like trying to get a v6 sound like a v8.
IT JUST ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.

and, please ease up with the caps lock and try to use better grammar

not sure if this guy is a member here but he was one of the first i have seen to have a lifted second gen frontier on twenties.

click on the pic to check out his cardomain page. goodluck!

also, a member here, 808blkfrontier lifted his truck and had 20 inches with 33's
IIRC he had the Calmini 5" plus a 3" body lift....

click on pic to go to the thread

22 inches on 35s

and here's a tire calculator to help you figure out tire sizes. my truck currently has 32 inch tires on stock suspension and wheels. with a mild lift, 33s can fit with little to no trimming, depending on the rims

shift-This's old truck before he traded it in

[/IMG]

as for the 285 50 20s this was my truck with a 1 in drop up front so if you lift it you'll want a 285 60 or 65 tire at a min with a 20in wheel
