My wife lived in Nashville for a year and a half (~10yrs ago) getting her master's degree. Really wished I had known (didn't have much knowledge of Nissan at the time), I definitely would have come down for a tour. Have actually been to Smyrna a few times, as her grandparents loved eating at the Omnihut.

Good info!

Thanks Gti16vman,
Never ate at the OmniHut but I do hear the food is great. If you do find yourself back here again stop by. Its well worth the time. Our facility is over 5.5 million square feet under one roof! Our "A" isle is over a mile long... Pretty awesome...lol

Thanks bigjohn1139 for the head up, that is very nice that Nissan allow public tour through their plant, I wish I can tour your plant some days, if I get a chance. I'm just right above you North/East.

Hello bigjohn1139,

I am your neighbor over in Knoxville. I bought my first Nissan Frontier back in March and I have been happy with it so far. My wife and I may have to make a day trip down to see you some time. I have a manufacturing background and think that a plant tour would be very interesting. My company is also a Nissan Supplier. (Signs).

Thanks for all your good information.

Regards,

Chuck
