John did a great job for his first time wheeling with four wheels. Glad you had a good time John. Cool kids ! Time to lift it now ? That was the first time my wife was out on the trail. She loved it too.
My wife and I stopped for gas and soft serve ice cream on the way home. Thanks for the heads up on the Dairy Bar John. We drove right by it on the way out and didn't notice it. :eek:ops1:

Can't wait till GWNF in a few weeks. There were ALOT of dirtbikes in there. Just happened to be an enduro race going on in the forest today. We frequently had to stop to let them by. Wasted a bunch of time. There was ALOT of water on the 2nd half of the trip. We had to stop and depth check a few times. Got a little hairy in a couple of lakes. John and myself both had water wash over our hoods. Needless to say, a snorkel has just moved up on my priority list of mods. I thought we were in the clear of the wet stuff from what we saw in the beginning. Boy was I wrong.

The jury is still out on the cool thing. I know some people who would disagree with you

Pix Coming soon. I will get the video together in a few days. Maybe tues. One of my ABS lines got severed by a log on the trail. I have to attend to that first.

Here's a teaser. . .
Pine barrens = Pine needles
Found a spot to take some pix a few miles in.
My severed ABS line.

JohninNj (07 Red CC) and Airbag (04 desert tan KC) Driving down a river in Wharton forest. That water went on and on. My Go-Pro camera took video leading up to the other side of this river. The whole vid came out great.

Stuck pix N vid.

Funny thing is that we went over that rut in the opposite direction and I had a problem with it. It looked like a simple clearance issue. His front end got hung up. I have 3 inches more ground clearance than John. That may have made all the difference. His truck came out with little effort by me.

By the way. My hat is off to John for bringing a shovel:goodjob:. A very important tool for offroading. A tool which I happened to forget in my haste getting over to Wharton this morning. I have more pix and I will edit the video in the next few days.

. . and the short pull

Thanks for the Pics.....And you gave me a list to bring and I'm glad I Did!!!

Damn, just realized my bald spot glows!!!
If you didn't bring that shovel, we would still be digging out your tow hook with screwdrivers. A chainsaw would have been nice for all those downed trees blocking the road too :chainsaw:

Mo pix. .
us at the top of Jemima
WAY to deep to try for my taste. That area where the circle is, was probably rutted 4 feet deep slippery mud. Maybe if I had SAS and M/Ts at least 33 inches. The center of that run had frame lines dug into it from the last truck that went over it.
ToTM ?
Last stop near the end of the trail we were on. I aired down to 25psi for the run. Next time I may go a bit lower but my tires seemed to grab pretty good.

Forgot to mention, I avg. 17.3 MPG for the day of offroad in 4hi most of the time. Is that good/bad?
Who cares? You had fun and that's all that matters.

Yes that's good actually... Some guys don't get that on the street let alone off road in 4wheel.

What you got is great fuel econ my friend.

I averaged 11.44 MPG with my tires @ 25psi and mostly in 4hi. Not too bad I guess. I normally get 15.5-16.5mpg highway. I haven't done a long trip yet so I don't know how it will fare at 90% highway. Headed down to GWNF in VA in a few weeks so we will see.

Nissan Designed the 2nd gen engine better IMO. More HPs make a difference when you're plowing through muddy lake after muddy lake.

I plan on being there no later than dinner time Friday. I'd like to get there a bit earlier if I can find someone to wheel with who knows where they're going.

Video 1. Jemima hill climb. I spliced the camera views then put the entire low cam ride up the hill at the end. Tunes courtesy of The Dead Kennedys.

There are probably gonna' be 2 more short vids when I get more time to slice them up. I didn't realize how many downed trees there were blocking the trail.

Thanks. Yes, I lifted her. I guess should add what I did to my sig. 3" SL all the way around. A.C. UCA's and H-D Tie rod adjusters, Calmini shocks, 1 1/2" tapered blocks and drag link brace. My own 1 1/2" shackles. I also have an A.C. rear diff skid plate that i'm modifying to protect a little more.

Wheels are 16x8 Cragar soft 8's with Hankook dynapro ATm RF 10 245/75-16. Tires are about one inch taller than the stock ones that came with it. When it's time for new rubber, i'm looking in the ballpark of 32x11.5 or 32x12.5 M/Ts.
