it tricks the computer into thinking the air is hotter or colder than it really is, thus dumping more or less fuel. I highly doubt they got 50 horse gain on a Titan. I see this become a serious problem come smog time since the o2 sensors will have been reading lean or rich. The only true way to tune is to change the computer parameters.

Thanks, I was curious how it was supposed to work, but that makes sense.
