Parted ways with my 06 Frontier

I bought a King Cab 6-speed SE 4x4 in June 06.

Just parted ways with 60k on the clock. Unfortunately i've had nothing but annoying problems with the truck. Fuel sending unit, front drive draft, rear drive shaft (ujoints), rear axle sales, poor clutch pedal that was noisy and had weird freeplay (dealer replaced master cylinder and still not happy with it), developing timing chain issue and misc other annoyances.

I went shopping for a Equinox and ended up picking up a 2010 Murano SL AWD. Nicely loaded with leather - I was a little turned off by my truck so I was willing to step away from Nissan. But after driving the Equinox and Murano back to back there was no comparison.

I'm hoping a nissan with a different drive train gives me better luck.

This website has been a great and an invaluable resource so I wanted to say thanks to everyone and good luck with your Frontiers. They are great trucks that seem to have unfortunate issues plague some of them.

Hope everything works better with the Murano lol. They are a nice little SUV.
Good luck with it, my parents have one and have 0 problems with it at 70k!!!
Good luck with the new ride, they are neat looking. I understand about your truck, if you've seen some of my posts you know what trouble I'm having at 2700 miles. I like it alot, but I swear it can drive me nuts :pullout:
Sorry to hear about your bad luck with the Frontier. I drive them out where I am because they hold up. Sorry yours didn't. My '05 has 128K on her now and I've had a running issue with the service engine soon light and fuel sending unit, outside of a busted axle housing a few thou miles back it's run like crazy. I hope your new vehicle works out for ya.
Congrats on the Murano, I like them.

I hear ya. Only reason I even put thought into the Murano is because I got a fantastic deal on it and they were offering me a high trade in. This was at a Nissan dealer the next state over so they knew I was serious since I was traveling.

I work right across the street from a Nissan dealership and there service department has always treated me well on the issues i've had. They covered my broken tail gate hinges under warranty (I forgot that issue up above, imagine opening your tailgate and having it fall off in your hands, you'd wish you had one of those light tacoma tailgates then!).

I got 27 miles on the Murano and it's nice, wish I could have swung for the "Technology" package. (Bluetooth, power lift rear hatch, and heated mirrors) but the ones they had only came with the nav unit and I didn't want to afford the $3k more.

nice to see you stayed in the Nissan family
