I took off the wheels and used a electric wire brush to knock the rust off and smooth the surfaces and then I taped off the rotors and just painted them with several (3-4) coats of Safety Red Rustoleum paint. I think it adds somtime to the truck. Just for the look!

IDK. I know they say high heat but how high, idk. Our brakes heat up a ton and the only way for the heat to escape is thru the caliper and into the air which isn't the best and the caliper will hold the heat for a bit.

Then it has to hold up to brake dust and etc...

If anything you will be grind/brushing/scraping it off in a few months and applying the paint from a kit from an auto parts store.

You need high temp brake caliber paint to get this done right, or else it will come off very easy due to heat and grease. The surface must be clean and grease free. They do make brake caliber spray paint strictly for this type of use.

Looks good gmonk99! With a red truck, I can't think of a color that would look good, so have never done this.

Thinking of painting mine also, anyone attempted white? Or would I be better to kick myself in the nutz and call it done? Black is also an option but I wanted to hear opinions on white- prolly a stretch considering the dust and grease but I think it would look good if it would last more than a few days without having to be pulled off and cleaned.

There was a guy on car domain that had a white frontier and painted his calipers white. He then placed a small nissan sticker on each and then sprayed a few coats of clear on to seal everything. It looked awesome.

I still need to do this, I have the kit for calipers.
When mentioned in another thread somebody called it "nail polish for your truck". LOL.
Screw them, I'm doing it.
BTW, looks good OP, especially compared to how crappy and corroded mine look right now.
