I have a 4.0 frontier 4 door white. And the paint is peeling everywhere. It's a 05 so I'm sure the recall or whatever is long gone. I want a new paint job but I don't want to spend 4000 on one at all. the truck is 10 years old. It has 244k miles
I just replaced the engine and a lot of parts. So the truck has a lot of life left in it. Any opinions on a Maaco paint job? (Not the 300 dollar one). Curious how there 1,500 dollar paint jobs do. They come with 3 year warranty. Just wanted some opinions on what todo. Thanks!

If you spend the money for a paint job how can you be sure the new paint isn't going to peel off too? My old Chevy truck had paint peeling problems, as did many others, and some people had them repainted but the new paint wouldn't stick either because of problems with the primer. Fortunately I found a buyer for mine that didn't much care what it looked like because he just uses it for a work truck and he is perfectly happy with it, peeling paint and all.

Prep is 80% of a good squirt. The more prep you do, the better the job.
Maaco does a good 20 footer. Any closer, it looks worse.
Expect to pay $4500 for quality work, not including body work.
Op, you own a $3000 truck regardless if how well it runs. You might be throwing money away.
