As stated above, I want your opinions. I removed my fender liners this weekend, due to how much crap was trapped behind them... And I noticed you can see clear to the other side on the front of the engine, and various lines and wires.

So, has anyone had negative effects? Is it wise? Stupid?

Let me know lol

I would put them back on.
Is the rear of the front fender a common place for rust? Or has it been properly made by the factory to drain it out?

Overall, my biggest fear is reduced longevity, either body wise with the liners, or engine wise, without the liners

I'm a fan of the fender liners because it protects the engine bay from mud and dirt. Not to mention rocks hitting all kinds of stuff. My truck has spent over a year of its life on the coast with plenty of beach running and driving through saltwater washes on a regular basis and I still don't have any rust to speak of.

^are your liners tweaked?
I've pulled my liners(heat modded) many times and it's actually pretty clean on the backside. Imagine how much more "crap" there would be back there without em'.
