Hey Fella's
Well It's been a while since my last post (hahah! it sounded like a confession), I have done mod's to my truck and have taken pictures and it looks really nice, i will try to post them soon.
The real reason I am writing is the following: So I went to my local Jiffy Lube station, usually I am a hands on type of guy but many times I have to rely on the convenience of this places.
So I did my usual oil change there, and the guy told me my transmission oil change was due, So si told them to go ahead and do it. Right after that happen it was very nice because the truck felt lighter, idle was quiet it was nice overall you could feel the difference. After a whole day of going up and down here in SA, the transmission started slipping really bad. It would rev up for about 3 or 4 seconds then the gear would kick in. It was bad.
I took it back to the Jiffy Lube and told them what happen, they found a leak that I did not see because the day before was raining, when I took it it was dry so they found the leak that they actually caused, they took off that hose that some use to drain the oil, he said that the original clamp was not tight enough when they put it back, so they installed a real hose clamp. Stop the leak , refill and everything went back to normal, including my state of mind!
But about a week or two I started noticing that when I put the truck in Drive after I start it, it will take about 2 or 3 seconds for drive to kick in, or if I move it from Drive to reverse it will do the same or reverse to drive, it takes 2 or 3 seconds then it kicks in. I have not seen that before..So I took it back to that place and they said that I have to go to a transmission place, have them check it out and go back and tell them what is going to take and how much is going to take to fix it. At least they are taking responsibility so far.
My truck has 30000 miles it is an 2008 frontier crew cab 4x4. So does anyone has any opinion on what may be going on here. I want to be prepared and informed on what may be the case, I dont want just anyone to mess with the transmission when it is not needed. I apreciate any info.
I promisse I will post my mods soon. I now there is at least one someone is going to like. :crikey:
