Hi all,

I'm a newish Frontier owner and a newer automotive DIYer. I have a 2004 Frontier, 3.3L, V6, and manual transmission. I've owned it for about 9 months now, and in the last 2-3 months or so I've noticed it start to grind a little when shifting from 1->2 or 2->3, if I don't give it a second with the clutch in before shifting. Now in the past week or so, I've started to have a decent fluid leak in my garage (3-4 spots per night), and it's smelling hot when I park it. It's dripping off of my transmission, but I think it's oil rather than transmission fluid. My starter is covered in oil, and my passenger side valve cover is pretty oily as well, but I can't find where it'd be seeping out of it unless it's in the back where I can't see it. From reading other threads here, I've decided it's probably that gasket, but before I replace it I'd like to see if there's anything else I should check for? Thanks for the help!
